I recently hopped onto IBM’s AI ethics class and let me tell you, it was a great experience. Now, I’m eyeing the complete set of courses to earn myself a nifty digital credential in AI, all during the holiday break.
You know, long before ChatGPT shook things up, there was IBM Watson. It’s the one that made waves by besting Ken Jennings on Jeopardy back in 2011. Crazy, right?

And hey, did you know ZDNET’s Steven J. Vaughn-Nichols was once a clue on Jeopardy? Small world, huh?
Alright, back on track. IBM’s been in the AI game for ages and they’ve been proactive about it. Their generative AI solution, Watson, isn’t sitting idle. It’s designed to help businesses implement both traditional machine learning and generative AI, customized to their specific needs.
Why does this matter? Well, if any company can ace teaching AI fundamentals, it’s IBM.
Their AI Fundamentals program is tucked inside the SkillsBuild learning portal and it’s a breeze to complete. Just around ten hours spread across six courses.
Speaking of which, I’ve always had this thing for AI ethics (I even did my thesis on it way back when). The AI ethics class was right up my alley.
