I loved the 2 speakers and the subwoofer of the Creative Pebble X Plus system for their spectacular design and such a clean and careful sound.

For several weeks, I have had the opportunity to test the Creative Pebble X Plus, one of the most compact 2.1 sound systems you can find on the market. And I declare myself already a great fan of this brand.

First of all, because it has an extremely careful design, halfway between futurism and minimalism, so that they look good in any room of a house or in a computer setup.

And, secondly, for offering such a clean sound in such a small size, also for the incorporation in this version of the subwoofer, which extends the range for any type of situation, whether music playback or movies or video games.

Is the Creative Pebble X Plus worth it? In this case, it will all depend on the sound system you are looking for and the room where you are going to place it. Thus, I think they perform very well in small and medium-sized rooms, although perhaps for large rooms they fall a little short.

Its price, which you can find for $118.28, does not seem excessive to me, since you will have in exchange a compact, elegant sound system adaptable to the device with which you are going to complement it.

Creative has achieved with Pebble X Plus a really elegant and futuristic aesthetic, with a somewhat more traditional subwoofer, in the shape of a box, with measurements adaptable to any space, of 156.4 x 158.5 x 156 millimeters.

And the 2 speakers that complement this subwoofer, both with the same size, 139.5 x 136 x 145 millimeters, in a very well cared for spherical design with a matte finish, are very attractive for any room or setup.

In both cases, these speakers have customizable RGB lighting through a simple button located next to the Bluetooth connection button and the volume wheel, these placed on the right speaker, while the left is empty to display the name of the brand.

As for all the connections it includes, there are for all tastes and situations, as it allows its use via Bluetooth 5.3 connection or directly through a USB Type-C, in addition to including a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary input.

In addition to this, I think they are special if you usually play video games and talk on a voice call or, at work, you make quite a few calls, as they allow dual communication for headphones and microphone.

Otherwise, they’re speakers where you won’t notice any connection ports or cables at all, so they’re great if you’re looking for something that looks good without a lot of clutter in your room, with a 45-degree tilt for great targeted sound.

As you have already seen in the design section, this system is 2.1, with 2 satellite speakers along with 1 compact subwoofer with passive radiators, the latter dedicated to reinforcing the bass without the need for a large device.

The frequency response, in this way, covers a wide range ranging from 45 Hz in the bass—without being ultra-low—to 20,000 Hz for the treble; in practice, they are perfect for gaming, watching movies, or listening to music.

It is true that, with such a compact size, you will get much more out of them in small or medium-sized rooms than in large living rooms, for which you would need a larger subwoofer, especially for watching movies—for example, in explosions.

During the test, I used the Creative Pebble X Plus for all kinds of sounds, although where I find they excel is in music playback: you will always have a clean and distortion-free sound.

In any case, I must emphasize that its power will depend on the form of connection used. For example, to access a higher power, you will need a PD adapter – which is not included with the equipment.

I think it’s not necessary for any average user, although you will need it in larger rooms or if you need to unlock the maximum potential of this speaker system.

In their app I have not found any way to customize the sound mode, although I have found the RGB lighting

As Creative explains on the official Pebble X Plus website, the own application allows you to customize the sound, both from a Windows computer and on a mobile, regardless of whether it is iOS or Android.

When connected to the PC, the Creative application has not recognized the sound system in its interface, despite being connected in all possible ways; On mobile, this has happened, and it has helped me to update them.

Now, although I wanted to modify the sound mode, as the brand mentions on its website, I have not found any of this. I have simply been able to customize the RGB lighting; however, with the button on the speaker itself, you will already have 6 predefined settings for this.

In conclusion, I think Creative could take even more advantage of its app to really set up an outstanding sound system that deserves much more careful software.
