The truth is that the current market is following this trend: new generations that surprise and seek to completely capture the attention of users. Without a doubt, I can describe the Realme GT 8 Pro as a real cannon.

If you put it next to a Galaxy S25 Ultra or Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the GT 8 Pro is not far behind: more battery and faster charging than many, an equally beastly chip, and that Ricoh modular extra to get the most out of the design. The brand here goes all out with raw power, photography, and design.

Design and display: interchangeable camera modules that overshadow the prominence of its large screen

While this is about taste, being somewhat more objective, I have liked the design of the GT 8 Pro from day one. 161.80 x 76.90 x 8.20 mm, 214 grams, neither heavy nor slipping every now and then from your hands.

The finish is in an off-white aluminum on the edges and with curves that fit perfectly in the hand, with quite restrained frames, giving it a rather iPhone-style look as far as the screen is concerned. It’s not the thinnest in the world or the smallest if that’s what you’re looking for, but it doesn’t feel like a brick when you pick it up either.

But if we talk about design, without a doubt all the prominence is taken by its interchangeable modules. Although at first I thought that this was going to be a change when it comes to taking photographs, we are talking about something that is simply aesthetic.

I’ll tell you: you will find a round metal profile that is already incorporated into the mobile phone and a square one that comes separately. With a small screwdriver that is included, although somewhat hidden, you will be able to remove the two mini screws that the module incorporates to be able to change it.

Again, this only adds a new look to your phone, and, of course, you can also change the cases, which includes two others, depending on the format you have chosen that day.

Although it sounds quite novel, and it really is, the truth is that I don’t see it as funny once you make several changes to see which one convinces you the most.

As it does not affect the photograph, it is normal that you choose the one you like the most, and it stays that way until posterity. Changing it is easy, but you’re going to forget the other one in a drawer. It’s a nice addition, but it doesn’t revolutionize mobile photography as other brands are already doing.

That said, the display is another level: 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED, 2K (3136 x 1440) resolution, 144 Hz, and 7,000 nits peak brightness. In the sun you see it sharp, and indoors the colors are very accurate with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Performance and autonomy: a power that leaves the rest of the Alyas ranges shivering in numbers

Here Realme does not skimp: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at 4.6 GHz, up to 16 GB RAM LPDDR5X, and 1 TB UFS 4.0. To give you an idea, it’s the latest of the latest, the most powerful thing out there, with a configuration for years of use.

Of course, add here that, after the benchmarks, this mobile undoubtedly completely sweeps away the rest of the brands and their highest-end mobiles with an astonishing difference.

As has already happened with other mobiles, you can perfectly use it as you want. From playing demanding games without any problem to total multitasking with all kinds of applications open without suffering in the slightest. Although, of course, it can get a little hot.

It comes with Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16, and tells you that bloatware is almost zero; you won’t find all kinds of useless apps that end up sapping the patience of more than one.

As for the autonomy, for me it is where it really brings out the heavy artillery and the great success if you are looking for it to last. You will have 7,000 mAh divided into two cells of 3,500 mAh each that will perfectly give you two days of normal intensive use..

But there is more, and the charging is a real wonder. You have 120 W of wired charging, so in about 30 minutes you will have that beast at 100%, and 50 W of wireless charging, so although it is not widely used, in just over an hour it will be ready for another two days of use.

Cameras: top quality with top night photography

Following in the wake of the competition, it is clear that it was really not going to be left behind in this aspect.

They come with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a periscope-shaped telephoto lens with a 200-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.

During the day, the main one gives good results with good, sharp light and vivid colors, although the focus fails sometimes, and you notice some softness or noise on some occasions.

For me, the 200-megapixel telephoto lens is the star. Great sharpness almost no matter how close you get, well-defined details, good contrast, and colors that don’t end up degrading or malforming when zoomed in. It has 3x optical zoom up to 12x without too much loss.

On the other hand, the ultra-wide angle is quite competent during the day, with consistent colors, and that allows you to obtain, now yes, high-quality photographs using this sensor.

And yes, the 32-megapixel selfie camera remains in line with the quality that we have already seen in so many other terminals.

But where I want to stop is at night photos, which are a good surprise.

The main one with f/1.8 captures light wonderfully, and the OIS stabilizes perfectly and maintains details without excessive noise.

The telephoto lens lasts at night like few I’ve ever seen: again you’ll find enormous sharpness, details, and realistic colors, with less noise than you might expect.

It’s not perfect, but for this type of situation it has left me with a very good taste in my mouth; it surprises without a post-process that makes the photo look as if it were directly from another.

Finally, it has different Ricoh GR modes that will give an extra touch to your photos, either using Positive Film for more powerful colors, Negative for softer tones or directly the B&W for a really beautiful black and white.
