On April 3, ROIDS TECH unveiled the three-wheel platform mobility Raptor and had a press conference at Chiba Industrial University’s Tokyo Skytreetown campus. The CEO of RDS, Mr. Sujaya Bharri, and the head of Chiba University of Technology’s Center for Future Robotic Technology Research (fuRo), Mr. Kouta Yuo, formed ROIDS TECH as a start-up in 2022.

The Raptor is a three-wheeled electric motorcycle with two front wheel rims. The tires are 12 inches in front and 10 inches behind. The slalom turns can also be freely performed on the three-wheeled ground. Cruise speed is 30 km/h. The lithium-ion battery (48V) has a continuous range of 40km. A driver’s license is required for a motorized bicycle. It aims to sell to consumers in the “bicycle-like price range.” The sales target has not been set, and we are aiming to sell 100 units within three years.
The feature is that the design unit in the upper and lower parts of the beacon can be easily separated and merged through its own “connecting unit mechanism.” Creating design units in line with standards can create new mobility.
For example, it can be used as an autonomous moving robot by placing a sensor-loaded robot on top. At ROIDS TECH, “Raptor” creates new business and culture, bringing substantial change and growth to the world of mobile infrastructure.

The inherent mobility of deformation in the future of electric motorcycle.
The CEO of ROIDS TECH and the CEO of RDS, Mr.杉原行里, said, “It’s transformed and self-sufficient! The announcement was entitled “Future Mobility.” RDS is a company specializing in the development of design-oriented mobility products. I’ve done a lot of co-development with FuRo so far.
He said that because of the world’s economic stagnation caused by the coronavirus and the emergence of many challenges, such as the means of mobility in an aging society, he thought that he wanted to excite the world with mobility. It took him three years to start the company. He introduced “Raptor electric motorcycle” with the goal of combining robotics and mobility and driving society towards a happy and bright future.
The “Raptor” is a transformative mobility device that combines the base unit with the design unit. Through the idea that “the car you want to ride will change depending on social challenges and the living environment,” we enabled third parties to replace themselves. With their own connector mechanism, the steering wheel and the brake are connected mechanically.
For example, one-touch automatic delivery robots or American-style vehicles. It was also introduced that a type of robot with four legs would be developed through separation. Other third-party developments are also “progressing steadily.” Freedom, however, requires respect for standards.
At first, the idea was, “I want to see the mobility in the movies sooner.” “I want more people to create a new culture,” said Sujara.
There is no restriction on mobility.
“With RDS for product creation and FuRo for research and development, I intended to establish a new culture. These days, a lot of mobile gadgets lack sophisticated technologies. “Wouldn’t we have to make something like this?” the creator wondered. It’s time to move past the days of creation by the maker alone. We intended to provide everyone, not just designers and engineers, with unrestricted movement,” he stated.
There are three technical characteristics. These are three features: easy lifting with a single lever, the realization of smaller turns with the linen function to bend the vehicle, and safety features using robotic intelligence technology. “Personal mobility has only just begun. I want it to be safe. And I want it to be exciting.” It is said that the control function makes it more difficult to fall.
It will be available to the general public in April. We have tested its durability and operability for almost two years. As a roadmap for future development, we aim to refine the base unit in six months to a year and launch consumer products within the year. Details on the number of units are under discussion.
The public appearance will be on display in April, May, and at various events. First of all, it is scheduled to be presented on April 9th at the City Circuit Tokyo Bay, an urban circuit for EVs in Paletttown, Taiwan. It is also scheduled to appear at an event in Tokyo.
Production itself will be done externally, but ROIDS TECH will aim not only at BtoBtoC but BtoC. The designer, Mr. Xiaoshihiro, said he named the legs of the birds from the movements of the rhinoceros as a reference to the name “Raptor.” At the moment, Mr. Xiao Ji is also in charge of the design of the top design unit.
