The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has shown me that a smartphone doesn’t have to cost more than $1,000 to be very powerful, despite the fact that today it is the norm.
Although a decade ago it would have seemed crazy, in today’s mobile market it has become normal that the most advanced mobiles are launched practically all above $1,000, a prohibitive price for many people, but which justifies the large number of innovations in these devices.
It is true that people who are not willing to pay so much can choose a wide range of models with good value for money, but that means giving up important features. Without them, some people’s experiences and certain use cases can change substantially for the worse, so it’s worth thinking about whether it’s worth it.
In recent days, I have tested the Galaxy S25 FE, the latest high-end of Samsung’s mobile catalog in 2025, which has been launched in Spain for $878 in its version with 128 GB of memory. It is sold in two other internal configurations that have already been discounted: one with 256 GB for $878; and a third of 512 GB for $947.
In this time I have seen how good its performance is, which is on par with the best mobiles of 2025, but for a much lower price, especially for 2 reasons.

Its internal power is almost the same as the Ultra
What I liked most about the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is that it is fast, very fast. Logically it is behind the best mobile of the brand of the year, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but I did not think it was as big a jump as its price difference indicates, since this premium mobile costs $1,480.
The new Fan Edition (FE) mobile is powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, Samsung’s most advanced in the latest generation, which has 4-nanometer processes and features dedicated especially to the proper functioning of artificial intelligence. It also has 12GB of RAM, compared to 8GB on last year’s Galaxy S24 FE.
This allows you to open and download apps really quickly, have dozens of apps open without the slightest problem, capture and process video and photo effects faster, and run Galaxy AI’s AI features in less time than on other hardware. These are things that, if you are going to take advantage of the terminal, make a difference for the demanding user.
But its value for money stands out especially
With almost twice the price of the 2025 super high-end range, I found it interesting to compare the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE in performance and price with that of its more expensive rivals at the price they have at the moment (October 2025).
And as you can see, the ratio leaves the S25 FE with one of the best values for money in the 2025 high-end.
You have to go to mobiles such as the Realme GT 7 Pro and the ZTE Nubia Z70S Ultra, from brands much less sold in Spain, to find a value for money as good as that of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE in terms of internal power.
Performs well in gaming and does not heat up at all
And finally, I also liked the S25 FE for the good performance in video games it achieves, something in which it has nothing to envy from the best.
Its Exynos 2400 chip has allowed me to play several consecutive games of the Pokémon Unite arena, lasting 10 minutes each. And not only has the performance not dropped, but I haven’t even noticed that the back of the phone got hot as usual although this is not worrying within normal figures.
With this, Samsung demonstrates the power of its gaming chips, despite gamers’ preference for Qualcomm’s high-end. Although their raw power may be somewhat higher, all phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite ultra-premium range of 2025 get a little hot when playing a video game for more than 10 minutes (although of course at temperatures that are not harmful).
