The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may not bring a plethora of new features to the foldable market, but its software enhancements, particularly its AI tools, set it apart in day-to-day utility.
The Evolution of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: A Closer Look at Software Innovations
As a foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may not have many new features, but in terms of software, it shows that it still has the best useful tools on a day-to-day basis.
Contrary to what it may seem, I have enjoyed analyzing the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, despite the lack of novelties in a foldable book-type mobile that desperately needs an update in its format.
Of all the functions that I have liked, surely the ones that I have found the best are some of the software improvements that Samsung fold 2 has included in its book-type foldable. And yes, they are artificial intelligence.
AI-Powered Tools: The Heart of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
I already mentioned it when I reviewed the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The best thing about the mobile is its Galaxy AI functions because, unlike other mobile brands that jump on the AI bandwagon with a couple of programs, its artificial intelligence tools are handy on a day-to-day basis.
From my work, I’ve found Samsung’s transcription tools to be pretty good. To highlight the function that is available in the Samsung Notes application. Now you may be taking notes and recording a presentation, a conversation, an interview, or anything.
That audio will be linked to the note, and when you finish, Galaxy AI automatically transcribes all the audio, detecting each person and what they say with very good quality. While it is true that many applications already did this, the transcription is done automatically on the mobile without depending on a server, who knows where.
Also, as Galaxy AI has text translation and summarization features, it can make a summary with the most important points of that audio.
This, on a professional level, saves you an incredible amount of time. Indeed, it does not always hit the target with the transcriptions, but it serves as a basis to start working. That’s why I think the Galaxy Z Fold 6, more than a foldable phone for the masses (that’s the Galaxy Z Flip 6), is a more practical phone for that mystical category, the professionals.

The AI feature that I still use (almost) every day
And although this feature is not Samsung’s, it is Google’s, and since the Galaxy S24 was introduced, I still use much more than I thought to go around to search.
Although it’s nothing more than a shortcut for Google Lens, it’s still one of the most user-friendly and useful AI utilities. Are you watching a video and want to know something specific you have seen? Pressing the bottom so that it takes a screenshot and you can round out what you want it to detect and do it well is tremendously useful.
I’ve used it a lot on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and I’m still using it on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is the one that debuted this feature, although it’s no longer exclusive, and other phones, such as the Google Pixel 8, have it.
Conclusion: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: A Blend of Innovation and Practicality
In conclusion, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may not revolutionize the foldable design, its AI tools make it a powerful device for everyday use. The software enhancements, especially the transcription and Google Lens features, demonstrate Samsung’s commitment to integrating meaningful and practical AI into its devices. For professionals and everyday users alike, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers a blend of innovation and practicality that is hard to beat.
